Coronavirus Precautions

Being Taken by the

Law Office of Shawn C. Newman, P.A.

Because of the corona virus pandemic, our office has implemented  the following precautions to protect the well-being and safety of  our clients, prospective clients and our employees the following:

  • CLIENT MEETINGS:   We are temporarily limiting client meetings to our office and instead encouraging non-emergency meetings with clients by ZOOM video conferences or telephone calls.   We know that some client matters required a physical meetings, and as such, we will host meetings as follows:
    • We are limiting client meetings to no more than two persons (other than staff).
    • We are checking with scheduled visitors to our office as to their health – if they are  running (or have had) a fever, or if they have had recent air travel, and can confirm that they are presently feeling well.
    • We have implemented high-touch cleaning and disinfecting protocols, both during normal business hours and at night, including more frequent cleaning of client visitor areas, highly touched surfaces, rest rooms, and other frequent touch points.  The most touched surfaces in our client waiting room, conference room, and office meeting areas are being disinfected multiple times throughout the day.
    • Hand Sanitizer is available in the Visitor Waiting Area, and all visitors are encouraged to use upon arrival and exit.
    • As the CDC revises its recommendations, we will make every effort to comply with them.
    • We are requesting that our clients not drop by unannounced.
    • After hour or Saturday Office Hours are suspended indefinitely.

  • DOCUMENT REVIEW AND EXCHANGE:   We are utilizing secure document exchange by a shared dropbox client portal or physical deposits to our locked Law Office mail box at 710 Northeast 26th Street, Wilton Manors, FL 33305.    Draft review documents may be encrypted and emailed or mailed to the client by USPS Priority Mail Service.

  • FORMAL DOCUMENT SIGNINGS:    We are postponing all formal document signings in our office until after MAY 18th unless emergency circumstances dictate otherwise.   This date may be adjusted as advised by the local health department and Florida Bar  Broward County Bar.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to take steps to protect the health of those in our community and continue to navigate this evolving situation.
